چکیده
Hepatitis C virus (HCV) is one of the leading causes chronic liver disease. Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) a major complication associated with HCV infection, significant mortality and morbidity rates. This study aimed to measure biochemical parameters RNA levels for detection severity hepatitis virus- hepatocellular carcinoma. The was conducted on 100 patients, ages ranging from 36 68 years patients grouped into four groups. The 1 st group served as control (n= 25),the second (n=25): Virus, third HCV-associated HCC fourth After removal tumor resection. Serum samples were collected studied patients. Liver function enzymes (ALT, AST, Alkaline phosphatase) another (Albumin Total bilirubin) tested all groups. The results showed that HCC, after groups had an increase in enzymes, decrease albumin levels, total bilirubin which indicate damage liver. Viral loads indicated males infected higher than females significantly increased highly patients. Conclusively, are

Introduction Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most prevalent primary malignant tumors and accounts for about 90% of all primary liver cancers. Its distribution varies greatly according to geographic location and it is more common in middle and low- income countries than in developed ones especially in Eastern Asia and Sub Saharan Africa (70% of all new HCCs worldwide), with incidenc...

AIM To compare the performance characteristics and clinical application of two different technologies for quantifying serum hepatitis C virus (HCV) RNA levels. METHODS HCV RNA was quantified by Amplicor HCV Monitor assay (Amplicor) and Quantiplex HCV RNA 2.0 assay (bDNA-2) in 119 sera from 107 HCV infected patients. RESULTS Both assays had similar sensitivity (79.4% for Amplicor; 86.0% for ...
متن کاملA Case of Hairy Cell Leukemia Associated with Hepatitis B Surface (HBs) Antigenemia and Concurrent Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) Seropositivity
Literature review shows that hepatitis C infection may increase the risk of non-hodgkin lymphoma. Reactivation of hepatitis B infection has been reported in patients with hairy cell leukemia after chemotherapy and/or splenectomy. We present hepatitis B surface (HBs) antigenemia and concurrent hepatitis C virus (HCV) seropositivity in a case of hairy cell leukemia. Key Words: Hairy cell leukemi...
متن کاملImmunohistochemical detection of hepatitis C virus (HCV) in liver biopsies of hepatitis C patients.
OBJECTIVE Immunohistochemical detection of Hepatitis C virus (HCV) in liver biopsies of hepatitis C patients and to find its association with the histological parameters of grading and staging. METHODS This was a prospective study based on liver biopsies of hepatitis C patients. Haematoxylin and Eosin (H and E) stained slides were examined to determine the histological activity, and fibrosis ...
